The Local Rules are established by the Toledo Housing Court Judges to guide how cases are handled in our courthouse. These rules apply to all parties and participants in housing court matters, including tenants, landlords, attorneys, housing advocates, inspectors, and other officials involved in upholding the court’s mission.

These rules are designed to ensure that cases are handled fairly, efficiently, and consistently. They help the court move cases forward without unnecessary delays and make sure everyone receives due process and equal treatment under the law. The Housing Court regularly reviews and updates these rules to improve operations and responsiveness.

The Housing Court Local Rules work alongside the Toledo Municipal Court Rules and the Ohio Rules of Court as set by the Ohio Supreme Court.
